What tools are recommended for installing ArcticAnchor clamps?We recommend using a torque driver or standard drill with an 8mm hex driver bit. Avoid using hammer drills, as they may overtighten or damage the nylon patch and POM tips, potentially reducing holding strength and compromising warranty coverage.

What torque should I use when installing the screws?Torque settings can vary depending on roof type and material thickness. For most standing seam metal roofs, we recommend a setting of 60-75in/lbs. Always refer to our official installation guide, or cut sheets for specifics.

Can ArcticAnchor be used for fall protection or as a safety tie-off?No. While our system is engineered for high snow load retention, it is not certified for fall protection use and should not be used in place of safety-rated anchors.

Do your screws damage roof panels?No. Each screw is tipped with a POM nylon head that flanges on installation, creating a secure grip without metal-on-metal contact. This prevents paint damage, chipping, and corrosion commonly seen with steel screws. *Note: Damage may occur if the screws are torqued beyond our defined installation limits.

What makes your system faster to install?ArcticAnchor is a simplified four-part system: clamp, rail, joiner, and end cap. Clamps arrive with pre-threaded screws that include nylon patches, eliminating the need for separate thread-lockers. Friction-fit joiners and end caps also reduce the number of tools and steps required.
